Digital marketing in the Midlands: have we got what it takes to become a leading part of the sector?

Whenever these digital marketing blogs get all uptight about this sort of stuff it’s always “we need Birmingham’s answer to Glue” but in the next breath “we should all pull together”.

YAWN.

I’ve heard it all before.

My old art teacher visited recently and said to me “too many people in Birmingham complain about the state of our art and design sectors, but nobody really does anything about it.”

Stef Lewandowski didn’t like the new Birmingham City Council website so he did something about it. Epic win. If I was him, I’d be pretty chuffed, he seems to have made a success out of BCCDIY.

Design Diary by Nathan Monk I'm a twenty-something designer and typographer. This is my online journal in which I collect and share links, images, thoughts and sometimes reflect on current work. Although I keep this diary for my own use, I hope that someone else finds it useful too.
